Aid transparency movement

The movement for aid transparency is gaining momentum and there are a number of organisations and governments working towards similar goals. aidinfo is working to facilitate information sharing amongst a wide group of stakeholders to share learning and maximise the synergies in our work. We organise an information sharing call every other month. If you are interested in joining this call, please contact Victoria victoria@devinit.org.

Current participants include:

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation fund aidinfo’s work and offer strategic input and guidance to our work through regular meetings with our management team.

The Project-Level Aid Database (PLAID) is a joint initiative of Brigham Young University and the College of William and Mary. PLAID is working to augment the OECD DAC data to create a web-accessible database on aid projects. The database is currently under construction and not available to the public.

The International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) brings together a group of donors led by the UK and the Netherlands to agree a standard for aid transparency.
